Dr. Kim Taylor Dr. Kim Taylor is the daughter of a veterinarian, and she literally grew up with her father’s veterinary hospital, as it was located next to the family home in Rahway, NJ. She received a B.S. degree in Animal Sciences from the University of New Hampshire and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Purdue University. She joined Dr. Ralph Werner at the Somers Point Veterinary Hospital in 1989 and bought the practice from him in 1995. She credits Dr. Werner for providing an exceptional learning environment and for emphasizing the importance of showing compassion for pet owners as well as caring for the animals they love. Dr. Taylor owns two of the world’s best Domestic Shorthair cats and a horse that she enjoys training and riding in dressage competition. Her special interests in veterinary practice include clinical pathology, especially the interpretation of cytology specimens, feline medicine, and surgery and clinical behavioral medicine of the dog and cat. |
