Dr. Kim Taylor

Dr. Kim Taylor is the daughter of a veterinarian, and she literally grew up with her father’s veterinary hospital, as it was located next to the family home in Rahway, NJ.  She received a B.S. degree in Animal Sciences from the University of New Hampshire and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Purdue University.  She joined Dr. Ralph Werner at the Somers Point Veterinary Hospital in 1989 and bought the practice from him in 1995.  She credits Dr. Werner for providing an exceptional learning environment and for emphasizing the importance of showing compassion for pet owners as well as caring for the animals they love.

Dr. Taylor owns two of the world’s best Domestic Shorthair cats and a horse that she enjoys training and riding in dressage competition.

Her special interests in veterinary practice include clinical pathology, especially the interpretation of cytology specimens, feline medicine, and surgery and clinical behavioral medicine of the dog and cat.

Dr. Regina DeLorenzo

Dr. Regina DeLorenzo, VMD, graduated from MIT with a BS in biology and a minor in creative writing in 1991.  She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School in 1997 and has a special interest and extensive experience in exotic animals including birds, reptiles, ferrets, and other small mammals.  Dr. DeLorenzo currently shares a home with 1 Bouvier, 1 Bichon, 3 cats, 4 birds, and one wonderful husband.

Dr. Mary Langford

Dr. Langford was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas.  After high school she attended Wichita State University and Kansas State University and received her Bachelors of Science in Dietetics, Restaurant and Institutional Management.  She worked as a Registered Dietitian in Kansas City, Missouri for many years at a large teaching and research hospital in oncology and intensive care.  During this time she also acquired her Masters Degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance at the University of Missouri of Kansas City.  But she always wanted to be a veterinarian.  So back to school she went and acquired her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 1997.

Dr. Langford's veterinary career started in a small town in Michigan before joining Somers Point Veterinary Hospital in 1998.  Her specialties include high quality, individualized, patient care plans, an interest in dentistry, and education for the pet's owner. Professionally, she is secretary of the Southeast New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, volunteers at the Atlantic County Animal Shelter in Pleasantville, works part time at Red Bank Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Linwood NJ, and is a frequent guest speaker for the local school systems on careers in veterinary medicine, or working with preschoolers on caring for pets and wildlife.

In her spare time, she enjoys friends and family, volleyball, gardening, snow skiing, golfing, eating out, relaxing on the beach, home remodeling, sewing, and her pets, Foster, Elle Mae and Buckwheat.
